Message	an option like mudflaps. The OEM seats in leather are always smooth. Dealers have been known to install the Katskins units to raise the appeal of the car a bit at sale if the cloth isn't going over well to potential buyers. If you had the original window sticker it will show if leather was really there from the factory or not. There is no "dealer install" version of the smooth leather. BTW the 91 dealer brochure shows only cloth or smooth leather.
